Part-Time Paramedic

About the Role

This is a Part-Time Paramedic position focused on delivering compassionate and advanced patient care during emergency calls. The role requires working overnight shifts and involves assessing situations, utilizing medical equipment such as defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen and suction devices, and administering intravenous fluids.

Responsibilities

• Identify the best course of action for each call following progressive protocols
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
• Lead scene management and collaborate with public safety and healthcare personnel
• Perform triage and provide care according to clinical protocols and safety standards
• Lift and move patients safely to ensure optimal care
• Coordinate with receiving facilities and ambulance dispatch to ensure efficient response and communication
• Drive and support navigation to minimize response times
• Participate in community outreach and maintain strong community relations

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; advanced education preferred
• Current Montana Paramedic Certification or pending application
• National Registry certification
• Valid State Driver’s License and compliant driving record
• Current BCLS, ACLS, PALS or PEPP, BTLS certifications
• Ability to pass drug, background, and physical agility screenings
