About the Role
Provide compassionate, high-quality patient care using basic and advanced medical skills, ensuring professional, cost-effective service aligned with community needs.
Responsibilities
- Assess emergency situations and determine appropriate actions following protocols.
- Operate medical equipment such as defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen, suction devices, and IV fluids for advanced care.
- Communicate with patients and families to offer reassurance and information.
- Lead scene management and coordinate with team members and public safety personnel.
- Execute triage efficiently and provide patient care adhering to clinical and safety standards.
- Lift and move patients as needed for optimal treatment.
- Coordinate with receiving facilities and provide critical updates.
- Drive ambulance, assist with navigation, and liaise with dispatch to ensure prompt response.
- Participate in community outreach to promote positive relations.
- Maintain communication with healthcare facilities and report interactions.
- Perform other assigned tasks as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; advanced education preferred.
- Current Montana Paramedic Certification or pending application.
- National Registry certification.
- Valid State Driver’s License.
- Current BCLS, ACLS, PALS or PEPP, BTLS certifications.
- Clean driving record and ability to pass drug, background, and physical agility tests.
