Part-Time On-Call Nanny

About the role

Jovie is seeking engaging, reliable and enthusiastic kid-care pros to work with families in Excelsior, Minnetonka, Chanhassen, Deephaven and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Engaging with kids and having a playful personality
• Providing care including making and providing meals, arts and crafts, board/card games, baking, outdoor play, bedtime routine, and staying with the children until the parents arrive home
• Engaging in activities such as arts and crafts, board/card games, baking, outdoor play, bedtime routine, and staying with the children until the parents arrive home
• Part of each day may be spent outside, weather permitting, and will be active play

Requirements

• You like to engage with kids and have a playful personality
• You have relatable childcare experience (special needs experience a plus)
• You’re able to provide 3 childcare references (from paid or unpaid positions)
• You have a reliable vehicle and driver's license
• You’re already CPR/First Aid Certified or willing to be
• You are available 3 days, Monday-Friday, 7am-7pm

Working Conditions and Requirements

• Work environment will be active, kid-centric and includes clean up of activities
• Part of each day may be spent outside, weather permitting, and will be active play
• Essential Physical Requirements: Position involves regular lifting, bending, squatting, reaching and pushing
• Must be able to lift 35 pounds safely
• Must be able to get up from and down to the floor numerous times throughout the day
• Will need to be able to react quickly to certain situations
• May need to react to emergent situations in a calm, effective and safe manner

Compensation + Benefits

• Hourly wage: $18-$20
• Ready to work around your schedule
• Ability to start with just a few days per week if needed due to other commitments
• Paid training + professional development (including CPR/First Aid certification)
