Part-Time Nanny

About the role

Nanny By Design is seeking a warm, reliable nanny to provide consistent care for two young children (a 10‑month‑old and a 2‑year‑old) in Lewisville, NC. This is a long‑term, part‑time position with a predictable schedule (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:30 AM–5:30 PM) starting October 12, 2026. The family values consistency, communication, creativity, and a nurturing approach to childcare, and follows a routine that includes outdoor play, age‑appropriate activities, independent play, and limited screen time. The nanny should be comfortable working in a Christian household and respecting the family's values and routines.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and nurturing care for both children
• Prepare bottles, meals, and snacks
• Handle diapering and other daily care needs
• Follow established nap, feeding, and activity routines
• Plan creative and age‑appropriate activities
• Encourage outdoor play and age‑appropriate independence
• Drive the children to activities when needed
• Complete children's laundry
• Sterilize bottles and maintain feeding supplies
• Load and unload the dishwasher
• Complete occasional child‑related errands
• Assist with light household tasks related to the children
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment throughout the day

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is nurturing, dependable, communicative, and confident caring for both an infant and a toddler. They should be comfortable following a structured routine while creating opportunities for play, exploration, and development.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• 3+ years of professional childcare experience outside of immediate family babysitting
• Strong childcare references
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Reliable transportation
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain
• Non‑smoker
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Current Tdap vaccination
• Willingness to receive an annual flu vaccine
• Willingness to complete a background check
• Willingness to complete the Nanny By Design application and interview process
