Part Time Night Nurse

About the role

Provide professional nursing care in long-term care settings under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care tailored to residents of all ages, following care plans and clinical standards.
• Perform assessments, administer medications and treatments, and evaluate resident data.
• Recognize health issues, respond to emergencies, and contribute to care planning.
• Document interactions, care outcomes, and communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
• Provide education and counseling to residents and families, promoting self-care and prevention strategies.
• Support healthcare professionals technically and maintain confidentiality and professional relationships.
• Maintain required competencies, certifications, and continuing education.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program; associate degree preferred.
• Valid, unencumbered LPN license in the relevant state; multi-state licensure preferred.
• Experience or coursework in IV therapy (where applicable).
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to respond effectively to emergent situations and maintain confidentiality.
