About the role
Provide professional nursing care in long-term care settings under supervision.
Responsibilities
- Assess residents’ physical and psychosocial needs, and administer medications or treatments as prescribed.
- Perform testing to evaluate resident data, recognize problems, and respond effectively to health issues.
- Document resident interactions, care outcomes, and maintain accurate records.
- Communicate clearly with residents, families, healthcare providers, and team members while maintaining confidentiality.
- Contribute to resident education, counseling, and development of self-care programs.
- Support the interdisciplinary care team with technical and care-related tasks.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program; associate degree preferred.
- Unencumbered LPN license with state nursing board and multi-state licensure privileges.
- Competency in clinical skills, including IV therapy if required.
- Ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
- Completion of continuing education and department-specific certifications.
