About the Role

Provide professional nursing care in long-term care settings under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents and administer medications and treatments
• Perform testing and document care
• Recognize problems and respond effectively to health emergencies
• Counsel residents and families
• Develop self-care education programs
• Contribute to interdisciplinary team efforts
• Provide safe, compassionate care and evaluate resident needs
• Document interactions and support health and safety of residents
• Perform other related tasks as assigned to ensure quality resident care

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program
• Valid LPN license
• Clinical experience across the lifespan
• Additional certifications or skills in IV therapy may be required depending on the state
• Maintain required competencies and continuing education
