About the Role
Provide professional nursing care in long-term care settings under supervision.
Responsibilities
- Assess residents and administer medications and treatments
- Perform testing and document care
- Recognize problems and respond effectively to health emergencies
- Counsel residents and families
- Develop self-care education programs
- Contribute to interdisciplinary team efforts
- Provide safe, compassionate care and evaluate resident needs
- Document interactions and support health and safety of residents
- Perform other related tasks as assigned to ensure quality resident care
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program
- Valid LPN license
- Clinical experience across the lifespan
- Additional certifications or skills in IV therapy may be required depending on the state
- Maintain required competencies and continuing education
