Part Time Night Nurse

About the Role

Provide professional nursing care in long-term care settings under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments
• Perform assessments and recognize/respond to health issues
• Document resident interactions and care activities
• Support residents' physical and psychosocial needs
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members
• Contribute to care planning and resident education
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to clinical standards and certifications
• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care
• Support resident safety and comfort
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes
• Perform technical tasks (e.g., IV therapy if required)
• Educate residents on self-care and health plans

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program
• Valid LPN license
• Experience with clinical care, including IV therapy if required
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication skills
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality
• Complete ongoing education and competencies as required by the department and facility
