Part Time Nanny

About the role

A warm and welcoming family in the Richmond, VA area is seeking a dependable, active, compassionate, and patient part-time nanny to care for their 2‑year‑old boy and a newborn arriving in October. The ideal candidate will have experience with infants and toddlers, strong communication skills, and a genuine interest in becoming a trusted part of the family’s routine.

Responsibilities

• Drop the 2‑year‑old off at school around 9:00 AM and pick him up around 12:00 PM (school is ~1 mile from home).
• While the child is at school, optionally stay at the home to assist with light household tasks or leave and return for pickup.
• After school, prepare meals and snacks, help with nap time, engage in active play and age‑appropriate activities, and keep screen time limited.
• Once the newborn arrives (October) and Mom returns to work (January), provide infant care including diaper changes, feeding, naps, developmental activities, and meeting milestones.
• Wash bottles and keep common areas tidy.
• Use a reliable vehicle for school trips; mileage will be reimbursed.

Pay

$18–$20 per hour.

Schedule

Monday 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM; Wednesday 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM.
