Part-time Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Instructor

Duties

• Teach assigned didactic and laboratory courses
• Engage in ongoing student learning assessment
• Create a respectful and multicultural classroom environment
• Maintain accurate student records and reports
• Identify and assist students needing support
• Collaborate with Student Services and Academic Support Division staff
• Stay current on teaching developments and use technology
• Update course curriculum as needed
• Prepare and update course syllabi
• Work cooperatively with library staff
• Attend meetings as necessary
• Affirm college regulations and report student conduct violations
• Meet weekly office hours and other duties

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology
• ASCP-BOC or ASCPi-BOC certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist
• Two (2) years or 4,000 hours experience in field of Medical Lab Technician or Scientist
• Master’s degree in subject area for MLT Program courses preferred
