Pinehurst Medical Clinic (PMC) is a locally owned and managed healthcare provider serving communities in Moore County, Lee County, Cumberland County, Chatham County, and the surrounding six counties. PMC offers a broad range of primary and specialty care services, committed to patient-centered care through leading-edge medicine and compassionate service.

Responsibilities

• Performs in-house laboratory tests including specimen collection.
• Maintains accurate and positive specimen identification throughout the testing process.
• Prepares reagents, solutions, and stains as needed.
• Recognizes and reports abnormal lab values according to established protocols.
• Rechecks, accepts, and calls results to the physician or designated clinical person as required.
• Aids the Lab Manager in managing supplies and ordering necessary items.
• Maintains and updates relevant records such as quality control, specimen logs, instrument maintenance, etc.
• Assists with other tasks as directed.

Requirements

• Associate of Science Degree required.
• Certification as an MLT from an accredited agency required.
• Previous experience performing moderate and high-complexity testing in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred.

Schedule

This is a part-time day shift position, requiring 20 hours per week with no weekend or holiday coverage.
