Part-Time MLT Instructor
Essential Duties
Deliver and update course materials, including syllabi, lectures, and lab exercises focused on Clinical Microbiology.
Instruct and supervise MLT students in proper microbiological techniques during lab sessions.
Assess student learning through exams, quizzes, practicals, and assignments.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and grades.
Provide timely and constructive feedback to support student learning and professional growth.
Ensure all lab activities follow biosafety guidelines and good laboratory practices.
Communicate regularly with the MLT Program Director regarding student performance and course updates.
Align course delivery with institutional, programmatic, and NAACLS standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of an Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT)
- Current certification as an MLT, MLS (ASCP), or equivalent national certification required
- At least 2 years of relevant clinical experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician or Technologist in a healthcare or laboratory setting
- Prior teaching or instructional experience in an academic or clinical environment is preferred
Salary Information
Minimum Salary or Salary Range: $650 per credit hour
