About the role
This role involves performing patient care under direct supervision, including preparing patients, administering tests, and recording results.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with the healthcare team
- Taking vital signs
- Collecting specimens
- Assisting with procedures such as electrocardiograms and phlebotomy
- Adhering to infection control standards
- Maintaining exam room cleanliness
- Stocking supplies
- Assisting with special examinations
- Managing clerical tasks like filing medical records and processing insurance forms
Qualifications
Qualifications include a high school diploma and completion of a Medical Assistant program or relevant experience.
Skills
- Phlebotomy
- Bilingual Spanish (preferred)
Experience in urology is advantageous, and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Coverage may extend across departments, supporting specialties such as urology, colorectal surgery, and nephrology.
Schedule
Work hours are Monday to Friday, from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
