Part-Time Medical Assistant

About the role

Avance Care, one of North Carolina’s largest independent primary care networks, is seeking a Medical Assistant to join its growing team across the Triangle Area, Charlotte Region, and Wilmington. In this full‑time position you will work closely with a provider to ensure each patient receives a positive, efficient, and compassionate healthcare experience in a busy, fast‑paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from exam/treatment rooms.
• Triage patients as necessary.
• Administer vaccines and injections.
• Record patient data prior to the physician’s visit.
• Assist physicians with exams and a wide variety of procedures.
• Administer medications.
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies as needed.
• Maintain proper disinfection protocols.
• Complete prior authorizations for medications and diagnostic imaging.
• Phone in prescriptions and distribute medications as ordered by the provider.

Requirements

• One of the following certifications: CMA, CCMA, RMA, or EMT.
• At least one year of Medical Assistant experience.

Schedule

Full‑time role with weekday shifts and a rotating weekend schedule.
