Part-Time Medical Assistant

About the role

The Medical Assistant supports healthcare delivery under physician supervision by performing vital signs, assisting with examinations, treatments, and patient transport. They thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment across specialties such as neurology, pain management, chiropractic, and podiatry.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients and record vital signs
• Enter data into EMR systems
• Maintain confidentiality and medical records
• Disinfect rooms, assist physicians during exams, change dressings, and explain treatments
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and perform administrative tasks
• Monitor supplies and adhere to healthcare standards

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; healthcare-related degrees preferred
• Prior healthcare experience and EMR familiarity advantageous
• Ability to obtain CPR certification
• Excellent customer service, communication skills, and attention to detail
• Ability to work compassionately, flexibly, and effectively within a team
