About the role
The Medical Assistant supports healthcare delivery under physician supervision by performing vital signs, assisting with examinations, treatments, and patient transport. They thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment across specialties such as neurology, pain management, chiropractic, and podiatry.
Responsibilities
- Screen patients and record vital signs
- Enter data into EMR systems
- Maintain confidentiality and medical records
- Disinfect rooms, assist physicians during exams, change dressings, and explain treatments
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and perform administrative tasks
- Monitor supplies and adhere to healthcare standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; healthcare-related degrees preferred
- Prior healthcare experience and EMR familiarity advantageous
- Ability to obtain CPR certification
- Excellent customer service, communication skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to work compassionately, flexibly, and effectively within a team
