About the Role

Serve as a patient care coordinator and advocate, providing essential support in a medical office setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with direct patient care, including preparing exam rooms and supplies, sterilizing instruments, positioning patients, collecting specimens, obtaining vital signs, and documenting patient history and encounters.
  • Support providers during procedures by maintaining aseptic techniques, positioning patients, and handing instruments.
  • Manage communication, including reporting test results, performing phone triage, making post-op calls, and maintaining accurate electronic records.
  • Coordinate care and diagnostic testing, assist with medication lists, and ensure equipment readiness.

Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical Assistant program or certification preferred but not required.
  • 1-2 years of medical office experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with electronic medical records.
  • Strong computer skills and excellent customer service.
  • Demonstrated integrity, patience, empathy, confidentiality, adaptability, organizational skills, and effective communication.
  • Ability to work independently, handle fast-paced environments, and support team collaboration.
