About the Role

A Medical Assistant in a pulmonary medicine setting, performing patient care under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and document visit reasons.
• Take vital signs, conduct screening procedures, and record findings.
• Assist in specimen collection, labeling, and routing per protocols.
• Perform equipment calibration and tests such as electrocardiograms and phlebotomy.
• Support physicians with procedures, ensuring infection control, patient safety, and proper protocol adherence.
• Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and complete logs and equipment checks.
• Assist with pre-visit chart preparation and perform clerical duties like filing, insurance processing, and patient flow management.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of Medical Assistant training or related experience.
• Preferred phlebotomy skills and recent graduate status.
• Ability to follow infection control protocols and assist with clinical procedures.
