About the Department and the College
The Department of Music at California State University Stanislaus is one of three divisions within the School of the Arts in the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences and is a member of the National Association of Schools of Music. There are eight full-time and approximately seventeen part-time faculty who teach in modern, well-equipped facilities. In addition to providing instruction in general education courses, the department has approximately 70 students working towards the Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Arts in Music degrees concentrating in music education; instrumental, jazz, keyboard and vocal performance; composition; music technology; or general music. Department facilities include a 10-station Music Technology lab and the 315-seat Bernell and Flora Snider Music Recital Hall.
