Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in biology and related fields.
• Organize all classes within the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS).
• Teach small to large lecture courses as well as seminars, discussions, or laboratories.
• Excellence in teaching is expected.
• Positions start at the beginning of a semester and appointments may be renewed based on department need, funding, and performance.

Requirements

• A Ph.D. in biology or related fields is strongly recommended, although an M.S. in biology with teaching experience would also be considered for selected courses.
• Good oral and written communication skills, commitment to student learning and team performance are required.
• Demonstrate awareness of and address the needs of a student population of great diversity.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in biology or related fields or equivalent is strongly recommended, although an M.S. in biology with teaching experience would also be considered for selected courses.

• Demonstrate an awareness of and sensitivity to the educational goals of a multicultural population as might have been gained in cross-cultural study, training, teaching and other comparable experience.

• Experience using Canvas LMS.

Pay

• Compensation and salary range placement are determined by qualifications and experience.
• Starting salaries range from $5507 - $10347 per month.
