Part-Time Lead Generation Specialist for Research Enterprise

Key Responsibilities

  • Nurture potential leads for commercialization opportunities, research partnerships, and sponsorship through various channels.
  • Help develop and execute marketing strategies to engage potential leads.
  • Prepare initial marketing materials tailored to different audiences, ensuring alignment with Penn State’s research objectives and capabilities.
  • Work closely with various teams to understand their projects and potential commercialization aspects.
  • Regularly report on lead generation progress.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School diploma (AND enrolled in college, in Business Major), or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in contact list management, lead generation, nurturing, sales, or marketing, preferably in a higher education, research, or technology-driven environment.
  • Skills: Understanding of lead generation and nurturing techniques and tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders. Familiar with HubSpot or other CRM software. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment. Knowledge of the research and technology transfer landscape is a plus.

Hours

Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week.

Background Checks/Clearances

Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
