Part-Time Intake Worker

About the role

This is a part-time, 25 hours/week position; weekends required. Fridays 4:00PM-10:30PMSaturdays 5:00AM-9:00AM or 6:30PM-10:30PMSundays 5:00AM-1:00PM or 3:30PM-11:30PM

Responsibilities

• Counsels and assists clients in the intake process
• Sets up rooms and distributes necessary supplies
• Maintains security and ensures adherence to shelter rules and policies
• Cleans shelter areas and prepares snacks for residents
• Prepares and oversees lunch and dinner in the dining room
• Monitors and updates client logs
• Performs room inspections and administers medications as needed
• Supervises volunteers and community service workers

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience working with the homeless population desirable
