About the role
Part-time faculty members support the visions, missions, and values of the colleges and District. Responsibilities include classroom instruction, student evaluation, curriculum development, student advising, professional development, and assignment-specific tasks.
Responsibilities
- Deliver instruction in Russian language courses
- Evaluate student performance and provide feedback
- Develop and update curriculum as needed
- Advise students on academic progress and course selection
- Participate in professional development activities
- Fulfill assignment-specific requirements as determined by the department
Requirements
- Master's in Russian, or
- Bachelor's in Russian and Master's in another language or linguistics, or
- Equivalent qualifications (Equivalency Determination Form required)
Working Conditions
Faculty positions may require long periods of standing and walking in a typical classroom setting. Specific conditions may vary by subject taught.
Pay
Starting salary range: $70.84 - $86.11 per hour (Class II, step 1 to Class VI, step 1) based on the Adjunct, Overload and Substitute Salary Schedule.
