Responsibilities

  • Welcome and direct guests and employees.
  • Act as a resource to solve employee problems.
  • Interpret policies for employees, ensuring consistent application of policies and practices.
  • Manage and monitor the hiring process for active recruits.
  • Schedule candidate interviews and onboarding.
  • Ensure timely payout of employee referral bonuses.
  • Maintain introductory pay‑rate increases and prepare related entries.
  • Onboard newly hired employees.
  • Attend required meetings.

Requirements

  • Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
  • High school or equivalent education required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, with emphasis in human resources.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral & written) in English.
  • Bi‑lingual skills strongly desired (Spanish).
  • Two years of job‑related experience, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds at all organizational levels.
  • Adept at managing a fast‑paced environment and putting people at ease.
  • Professional and pleasant phone manner.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize, identify problems, seek solutions, and follow up on a variety of tasks.
  • Computer literate with strong Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Warm, personable and energetic demeanor.
  • Honest, trustworthy, discreet and careful with confidential information.
  • Highly proactive and willing to take initiative.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 4 hours per day.
  • Walking and standing are required for the remainder of the workday, including travel to and from meetings; duration varies day to day.
  • Must be able to reach other hotel departments promptly.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lb occasionally.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening, hearing ability and visual acuity.
  • Some tasks involve ergonomic risks such as repetitive motions, hand exertion, vibration, cold temperatures, poor body mechanics, restrictive workstations, or awkward postures.
  • Continuous talking and hearing are required for communication with guests, supervisors, and subordinates.
  • Continuous near‑vision and depth‑perception visual functions are required.
  • Must have finger dexterity to operate office equipment (computers, printers, multi‑line touch‑tone phone, filing cabinets, fax machines, photocopiers, etc.).
  • Employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position; reasonable accommodations will be provided when requested.
