About the role

Visiting Angels of Kirkland is hiring caregivers to serve clients throughout the Greater King County area including Shoreline, Kirkland, Seattle, Lake City, Kenmore, Mountlake Terrace, Woodway, Edmonds, West Seattle, Des Moines, Normandy Park, Sammamish, and many more. As a Part Time Homecare Aide (HCA), you'll play a vital role in enriching the quality of life of clients and supporting their wellness in accordance with their custom care plans. Responsibilities

• Helping clients with personal care and hygiene
• Assisting clients with light physical exercise or walks
• Planning and preparing meals with clients
• Handling light housekeeping duties
• Reporting health changes or unusual incidents
• Providing pleasant, supportive companionship
• Responding quickly and responsibly in emergencies
• Accompanying and supervising clients during shopping trips
• Reminding clients to take prescription medications appropriately
• Providing assistance with mobility and ambulation both at home and during appointments/errands

Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Possess a valid driver's license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle to transport clients
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent time-management skills and ability to juggle multiple duties
• Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at scheduled times
• Physical endurance for tasks like carrying groceries and physically supporting a client
• Comfort performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to dietary constraints
• Willingness and ability to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (e.g., background check)
• Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client

Qualifications

• Homecare Aide Certification (HCA)
• CNA certification
• Exemption Letter with Active NAR
• Driver's license (if applicable)

Training

Visiting Angels offers Homecare Aide Certification Training and opportunities for advanced training in areas like dementia care and/or Alzheimer's care for caregivers seeking to broaden their skills.

• Shifts available 7 days a week
