About the role

As a Visiting Angels Part‑Time Homecare Aide – HCA, you will enrich clients’ quality of life and support their wellness according to custom care plans. The position includes personal care, companionship, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and assistance with mobility and errands.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Assist clients with light physical exercise or walks.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients, respecting dietary constraints.
• Handle light housekeeping duties.
• Report health changes or unusual incidents.
• Provide pleasant, supportive companionship.
• Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
• Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
• Remind clients to take prescription medications appropriately.
• Assist with mobility and ambulation at home and during appointments/errands.
• Participate in advanced training opportunities such as dementia and Alzheimer’s care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle for client transport.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time‑management skills and ability to juggle multiple duties.
• Reliable transportation to reach client homes as scheduled.
• Physical endurance for tasks such as carrying groceries and supporting clients.
• Comfort with housekeeping and cooking while adhering to dietary constraints.
• Willingness to comply with state and office health‑and‑safety standards (e.g., background check).
• Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten each client’s day.
• License: HCA/CNA exemption letter with active NAR, and driver’s license if applicable.
