Part Time Home Care Aide (HCA)

Visiting Angels of Sacramento is seeking compassionate, experienced caregivers to join their team. The role involves providing personalized care to clients, supporting their wellness, and enriching their quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Helping clients with personal care and hygiene
• Assisting clients with light physical exercise or walks
• Planning and preparing meals with clients
• Handling light housekeeping duties
• Reporting health changes or unusual incidents
• Providing pleasant, supportive companionship
• Responding quickly and responsibly in emergencies
• Accompanying and supervising clients during shopping trips
• Reminding clients to take prescription medications appropriately
• Providing assistance with mobility and ambulation both at home and during appointments/errands

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old and able to work legally in the US
• Must be fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19 with shot record
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have a valid drivers license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle to use for transporting clients
• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must have excellent time-management skills and be able to juggle multiple duties at once
• Must have reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you’re scheduled to provide care
• Must feel confident in your physical endurance when it comes to tasks like carrying groceries and physically supporting a client
• Must be comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints
• Must be willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards
• Must be able to use a smartphone for electronic visit verification (EVV) and caregiver notes
• Must be able to pass extensive background checks, including Live Scan fingerprinting
• Must have a negative TB screening within the last 90 days
• Must be registered on the California Home Care Aide Registry
