Part Time Homecare Aide - HCA

Role

Visiting Angels of Kirkland is hiring Part‑Time Homecare Aides (HCA) to provide in‑home care for clients throughout the Seattle area, including West Seattle, Des Moines, Shoreline, Burien, Magnolia, North Seattle, Lake Forest Park, Normandy Park, Sammamish, and more. Caregivers enrich clients’ quality of life and support wellness according to custom care plans, with opportunities for advanced training in dementia and Alzheimer’s care.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Support light physical exercise or walks.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients, adhering to dietary constraints.
• Perform light housekeeping duties.
• Report health changes or unusual incidents.
• Provide pleasant, supportive companionship.
• Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
• Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
• Remind clients to take prescription medications appropriately.
• Assist with mobility and ambulation at home and during appointments/errands.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle for client transport.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time‑management ability and capacity to juggle multiple duties.
• Reliable transportation to reach client homes as scheduled.
• Physical endurance for tasks such as carrying groceries and supporting clients.
• Comfort with housekeeping and cooking duties while following dietary guidelines.
• Willingness to comply with state and office health and safety standards (e.g., background check).
• Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten each client’s day.

Qualifications

• HCA or CNA certification (or exemption letter with active NAR).
• Driver’s license (if applicable).

Schedule

• Shifts available 7 days a week: Morning, Mid‑Day, Evening, Overnight.
• Flexible scheduling in preferred territories.

Pay

$18.00 – $22.00 per hour, with weekly payroll.
