About the Role
Ensure an excellent customer experience by maintaining organized, clean, and well-stocked grocery departments.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service and assist shoppers as needed
- Maintain inventory control and monitor product quality and freshness
- Create attractive, easy-to-shop product displays
- Operate equipment such as bailers, pallet jacks, and forklifts safely
- Handle damaged products according to company policy
- Assist in training new staff members
- Communicate with management about departmental issues
- Adhere to all safety and health regulations
- Support other store departments as needed
- Perform miscellaneous tasks assigned by supervisors
Requirements
- Demonstrated stability in work and education history
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Basic math proficiency
- Knowledge of food industry operations
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities, initiative, and sound judgment
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly
- Reach, bend, and climb ladders
- Work safely on varied surfaces (wet, uneven, or slippery floors)
- Use maintenance tools and handle diverse packaging materials safely
