Part-Time Food Service Support Staff

Position Summary

To assist in all areas of food service as assigned by the Coordinator or Leader.

Qualifications

• Possesses a valid Pennsylvania driver's license at all times
• High school graduate or GED equivalent

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Ability to understand and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
• Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
• Is able to independently read, write, speak and comprehend the English language
• Ability to communicate courteously, efficiently and effectively with a variety of individuals, including students, staff, administrators, parents and representatives of outside organizations
• Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with peers, supervisors, parents and outside agencies
• Dependability, punctuality and initiative are essential
• Good personal hygiene

Essential Functions / Duties / Responsibilities

• Follow all HACCP and USDA food policies and regulations
• Maintain accurate and complete daily production records (meal counts, etc.)
• Rotation of all food service jobs as assigned daily including line prep, food prep, set up, cashier, clean up, dish room, catering, server and stock room
• All other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, lift, reach, communicate (vision, hearing, and speech), carry or convey sufficient weight to safely and effectively carry out functions, duties, and responsibilities
• Ability to independently ambulate in and around school buildings and office areas
• Ability to independently arrive at the designated work site and adhere to the established work schedule
• Can stand/walk for lengthy periods of time
