Part-Time Food Service Support Staff (2 Positions)

10-month, non-exempt, hourly part-time position (4.75 hours/day) under a collective-bargaining agreement between East Penn School District and the Foodcrafters Association ESP/PSEA/NEA.

About the Role

Assist in all areas of food service as assigned by the Coordinator or Food Service Leader.

Qualifications

• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
• High-school diploma or GED equivalent

• Ability to understand and carry out detailed but straightforward written or oral instructions
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to independently read, write, speak, and understand English
• Ability to communicate courteously, efficiently, and effectively with students, staff, administrators, parents, and outside organizations
• Ability to work cooperatively with peers, supervisors, parents, and outside agencies
• Dependability, punctuality, and initiative
• Good personal hygiene

Responsibilities

• Follow all HACCP and USDA food policies and regulations
• Maintain accurate and complete daily production records (meal counts, etc.)
• Rotate through all food-service tasks as assigned: line prep, food prep, set-up, cashiering, clean-up, dish room, catering, serving, and stock room
• Perform any other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, lift, reach, communicate (vision, hearing, speech), and carry sufficient weight to safely perform job functions
• Ability to independently move throughout school buildings and office areas
• Ability to arrive at the work site independently and adhere to the established schedule
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
