Part Time Food Service Support Staff

10-month, non-exempt, hourly part-time position (3.75 hours/day) under a collective-bargaining agreement between East Penn School District and the Foodcrafters Association ESP/PSEA/NEA.

About the role

Assist in all areas of food service as assigned by the Coordinator or Leader.

Qualifications

• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
• High-school graduate or GED equivalent

• Understand and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
• Read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Independently read, write, speak, and comprehend English
• Communicate courteously, efficiently, and effectively with students, staff, administrators, parents, and outside organizations
• Work cooperatively with peers, supervisors, parents, and outside agencies
• Dependability, punctuality, and initiative
• Good personal hygiene

Responsibilities

• Follow all HACCP and USDA food policies and regulations
• Maintain accurate and complete daily production records (meal counts, etc.)
• Rotate through all food-service jobs as assigned daily: line prep, food prep, set-up, cashier, clean-up, dish room, catering, server, and stock room
• Perform any other duties as assigned

Physical requirements

• Stand, bend, stoop, sit, lift, reach, communicate (vision, hearing, and speech), and carry or convey sufficient weight to safely and effectively carry out functions, duties, and responsibilities
• Independently ambulate in and around school buildings and office areas
• Independently arrive at the designated work site and adhere to the established work schedule
• Stand or walk for lengthy periods of time
