Part-Time Family Experience Coordinator

About the Role

This on-site, part-time role based in Kent, WA focuses on creating a welcoming and safe environment for families. The Family Experience Coordinator manages check-in and check-out procedures, explains playground rules and offerings, and ensures the play area remains clean, organized, and comfortable for children up to 5 years old.

Responsibilities

• Welcome families and provide information about Laro Tayo’s services and safety guidelines.
• Monitor play areas to ensure safety, cleanliness, and comfort for all visitors.
• Reset toys and equipment, and assist with basic inventory tracking for supplies.
• Support small retail or concession transactions as needed.
• Respond to the needs of caregivers and children with patience and care.
• Maintain an inclusive, respectful atmosphere for all visitors.
• Lead weekly social activities for parents and children.
• Option to work birthday parties and family events.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills, including clear verbal interaction with children and caregivers.
• Customer service experience to ensure families feel supported and valued.
• Basic inventory control and parts ordering skills to help manage supplies and equipment.
• Ability to maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment in an active children’s space.
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working part-time on-site, including potential weekends or holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional experience in early childhood, recreation, or customer service is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with children or families in recreational, educational, or hospitality settings.
