Part-Time Faculty, English Composition

Bucks County Community College invites applications for a Part-Time Faculty position in English Composition within the Language and Literature Department.

About the Role

The successful candidate will teach all levels of English Composition courses on campus during daytime hours and support student success through high-quality instruction and meaningful engagement.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of course development, instruction, and evaluation
• Conduct engaging classroom sessions based on the course outline
• Motivate students by demonstrating sensitivity to their concerns and actively involving them in classroom discussions and/or activities
• Complete all required course assessments
• Use technology to enhance teaching and learning in the classroom
• Participate in the assessment process
• Maintain current knowledge of the professional discipline
• Attend the Fall In-Service session and fulfill professional development requirements

Requirements

• Master’s degree in English or a closely related field from an accredited institution

Preferred Qualifications

• Community College teaching experience
