Part-time faculty position located at the Arundel Mills campus.
About the Role
Provide instruction, following the curriculum outline, for poker and advanced poker courses. Assign grades and record attendance. Instructors must adhere to Anne Arundel Community College's Adjunct Faculty Instructional policies and procedures.
Classes are held Monday through Thursday at the Arundel Mills campus.
Responsibilities
- Provide instruction for Casino Dealer School courses as directed by enrollments and assigned by your supervisor.
- Prepare daily instructional lesson plans based on the curriculum.
- Instruct in a manner consistent with the philosophy, policies, and guidelines of the college.
- Attend departmental meetings as requested.
- Maintain professional and effective communication.
- Assess the learning outcomes listed in the course guide or syllabus.
- Evaluate and document student performance using established methods, rubrics, and criteria.
- Enter course grades consistently and with 100% accuracy.
Requirements
- Background and expertise in the subject area.
- Current poker dealer with at least 4+ years of casino industry experience.
- Flexibility and reliability are essential.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Familiarity with computer applications.
Pay
$33.40/hour
Schedule
- Monday–Thursday
- Morning session: 7:00 AM – 11:30 AM
- Afternoon session: 12:30 PM – 5:00 PM
- Evening session: 6:00 PM – 10:30 PM
- Hours per week: varies (7–20 hours)
