Part-Time Emergency Room Nurse (Night Shift)

Role Overview

Provides direct patient care in an emergency department treating patients of all ages with a focus on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs, preferences, and barriers to care, considering emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population-specific factors.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans collaboratively with patients, families, and the interprofessional team.
• Promote respectful, equitable, and empathetic interactions with diverse populations, ensuring continuity of care and advocating for patients.
• Participate in ongoing professional development, quality improvement, and community health activities.
• Monitor patient condition changes, communicate updates to the team and family, and ensure evidence-based practices are followed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum: Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing; RN license; less than 2 years of experience; no supervisor experience required.
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; 2-5 years of experience.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and collaboration skills; safety-sensitive position requiring alertness.
