Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment.

About the role

Responsibilities

  • Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
  • Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring they align with the program’s objectives. Lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
  • Maintain a Safe and Nurturing Environment: Ensure children are enjoying themselves while meeting program goals by modeling positive guidance and effective classroom management.
  • Prioritize Safety and Joy: Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols. Document attendance, incidents, and other observations.
  • Effective Communication: Communicate with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

  • Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • At least 6 months of experience working with children under 13 years of age in a group setting (preferred).
  • Complete two years of higher education study (48 units) or obtain an AA degree or higher or pass a formal District academic assessment test.
  • Must be 18 years or older with a Highschool diploma or equivalent.
  • College credits in early childhood education, child development, elementary education or a related field (preferred).
  • Bilingual in Spanish (preferred).

Qualifications

  • Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
  • Ability to meet state-specific requirements: LIVE Scan fingerprint, FA/CPR, Mandated Reporter training, Health Certificate with Negative TB Test (from a physician).

Pay

$20-22 /per hour (based on education and experience).

Schedule

2026/2027 School Year; 1:30pm-6:00pm Monday Friday (hours may vary per site).

Location

Candidates should be open to any of the schools we partner with in the Robla School District. Please note we cannot guarantee preferred school assignments as our needs are based on the needs of the programs we serve.
