About the role

Educator Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by fostering a safe, engaging environment for children.

Responsibilities

  • Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
  • Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
  • Lead by Example: Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children enjoy themselves while meeting program goals.
  • Monitor Environment: Address potential hazards, follow safety protocols, document attendance, incidents, and observations.
  • Effective Communication: Communicate with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

  • Prioritize Safety and Joy: Ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for children.
  • Communicate Effectively: Work well with a variety of audiences, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
  • Teamwork: Work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
  • Lifting Capacity: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Flexibility: Be willing to support additional local programs as needed.

Qualifications

  • New Jersey State Requirements: Meet state-specific requirements.
  • First Aid and CPR: In-person certification required.
  • Tuberculosis Test: Must be cleared.
  • MRI/MR: Proof of MMR.
  • Age: 18 years of age or older.
  • Education: Proof of High School diploma or GED.

Pay

$16.00-$18.00 per hour, based on education and experience.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 8:40 AM and 3 PM - 6:30 PM.
