Part-Time Donation Services Associate - Highlands Ranch Store and Donation Center

About the role

This position greets our customers and accepts their donations in an efficient and courteous manner. This position works outside in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service, greeting customers in a timely manner, answering product questions as needed.
• Assists every customer by unloading donations from vehicle or other areas.
• Ensures that donated items are handled with care and sorted into appropriate bins or production areas.
• Inspect all donations within assigned areas and make decisions on quality to sort appropriately for the sales floor or to be shipped to other locations.
• Safely maintains a clean environment for both customers and fellow employees within the donations entrance and parking lot areas.
• Maintain remote donation centers, sheds, and/or trailer if applicable, following appropriate opening and closing procedures when working at a remote site.
• Ensure supplies are kept well stocked at remote site as necessary.
• Tracks and reports on donation levels daily to ensure trailers do not become over stocked when working in remote donation center locations.
• Timely communication when donation warehouse and/or trailer(s) are becoming full and a truck is needed.
• Follows all retail center/donation center policies and procedures.
• Aid drivers in loading and unloading donations onto the truck when necessary.
• Follows all safety processes and procedures to help provide a safe working environment for employees and customers.
• Crosstrain in other departments or areas; act as a back-up for other areas as required.
• May be required to report to the store ADC or stand-alone center when necessary.

Qualifications

• A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• One (1) year of retail experience is preferred.
• Must be able to make decisions by following Goodwill standards and guidelines.
• Must have basic computer skills to be able to log into a computer system to order supplies and to send and receive email.
• Must be able to work in various weather conditions with varying temperatures.
• Must be able to use safety equipment to assist with lifting heavy objects such as a dolly or pallet jack.
• Able to read, comprehend, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Able to communicate effectively with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers.
• Able to work a varied schedule to include weekends, evenings, and holidays with occasional overtime as necessary.

Pay

$16.65/hr. This position is eligible for Daily Pay!

Schedule

Part-Time employees in our Retail and Sales/Operations Division are eligible for paid holidays, sick leave, jury duty, and bereavement leave. All employees may also make pre-tax or post-tax (Roth) contributions to our retirement plan – must be 18 years of age to participate.
