Part-Time Donation Services Associate - Falcon Store

About the role

The Associate I, Donation Services greets customers and accepts their donations in a retail setting or stand-alone donation center. This role involves providing excellent customer service, handling donations efficiently, and maintaining a safe, organized environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and answer product questions as needed.
• Unload donations from vehicles or other areas and sort them into appropriate bins or production areas.
• Inspect donations and decide on their sorting based on quality.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for both customers and employees.
• Manage remote donation centers, ensuring supplies are well-stocked and reporting on donation levels.
• Communicate when donation centers are full and arrange for a truck.
• Cross-train in other departments as needed and assist drivers with loading/unloading donations.

Requirements

• One year of retail experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Basic computer skills to order supplies and communicate via email.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and lift up to 45 lbs frequently.
• Good decision-making skills aligned with Goodwill standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
