About the role

A Deli Associate is responsible for maintaining attractive and well-stocked service areas, assisting customers, and preparing food items.

Responsibilities

• Stocking and appealing display of deli products to meet customer demand.
• Greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving concerns professionally.
• Ensuring freshness, proper rotation, and accurate signage of merchandise.
• Operating slicing equipment for meats and cheeses; packaging and labeling products.
• Preparing ready-to-eat foods, platters, and adhering to recipes and safety policies.
• Handling cash register operations following proper procedures.
• Maintaining sanitation standards and cleanliness in the department.
• Assisting with inventory control, receiving deliveries, and proper product handling.
• Following safety protocols and utilizing personal protective equipment.
• Supporting other departments as needed to ensure smooth store operations.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or working towards GED; no prior experience required.
• Ability to perform duties with or without accommodations.
• Strong customer service skills and attention to safety and sanitation protocols.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to various tasks and department needs.
