Part Time Deli

Cub Minnehaha on Snelling Ave. is seeking a part-time deli team member to prepare and finish products such as meats, salads, and prepared foods to department standards. This role combines customer service and attention to detail to provide safe, reliable, and consistent products for customer selection.

Responsibilities

• Assists with food preparation
• Provides customers with accurate, prompt, and courteous service
• Sets, fills, and rotates deli cases and displays
• Assists in receiving of product
• Breaks down department and performs cleaning duties
• Follows all store and department policies and procedures

Requirements

• Operates equipment including compactor, coffee pot, pallet jack, highboy cart, box cutter, tongs, scales, Cry-O-Vac machine, steamer, slicer, wrapper, knives, chicken fryer, chicken hot case, food processor, and pizza oven
• Able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time
• Memorization, reading, writing, and math skills required
• Ongoing customer interaction with prompt, courteous, and accurate service
• Good judgment required, as direct supervision may not always be available
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions, write identifying information, and request supplies verbally or in writing
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

• Lifting/carrying up to 60 lbs
• Pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs
• Walking on uneven ground
• Reaching, bending, and repetitive motions
• Exposure to hot equipment and cooking oil

Schedule

• Varied weekly shifts
