Part Time Deli

Cub Plymouth on Vicksburg Lane is looking for a dedicated part-time deli team member to prepare and finish products such as meats, salads, and prepared foods to department standards for customer selection. This role combines customer service and attention to detail to provide safe, reliable, and consistent products.

Responsibilities

• Assists with food preparation
• Provides customers with accurate, prompt, and courteous service
• Sets, fills, and rotates deli cases and displays
• Assists in receiving of product
• Breaks down department and performs cleaning duties
• Follows all store and department policies and procedures

Requirements

• Equipment operation (compactor, coffee pot, pallet jack, highboy cart, box cutter, tongs, scales, Cry-O-Vac machine, steamer, slicer, wrapper, knives, chicken fryer, chicken hot case, food processor, pizza oven)
• Able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time
• Memorization, reading, writing, and math skills
• On-going customer interaction, providing prompt, courteous, and accurate service
• Good judgment, as direct supervision may not always be immediately available
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions, write identifying information, and request supplies verbally or in writing
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

• Lifting/carrying up to 60 lbs
• Pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs
• Walking on uneven ground
• Reaching, bending, repetitive motions
• Exposure to hot equipment and cooking oil

Schedule

Varied weekly shifts starting as early as 4am.

Pay

UNFI anticipates paying a competitive hourly rate within an established pay range for this position. Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, training, and any requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements.
