Part Time Deli

Cub Burnsville South on County Road 42 is looking for a dedicated part-time deli team member. This role combines customer service and attention to detail to provide customers with safe, reliable, and consistent deli products.

Responsibilities

• Assists with food preparation, including meats, salads, and prepared foods
• Provides customers with accurate, prompt, and courteous service
• Sets, fills, and rotates deli cases and displays
• Assists in receiving product
• Breaks down department and performs cleaning duties
• Follows all store and department policies and procedures

Requirements

• Equipment operation (compactor, coffee pot, pallet jack, highboy cart, box cutter, tongs, scales, Cry-O-Vac machine, steamer, slicer, wrapper, knives, chicken fryer, chicken hot case, food processor, pizza oven)
• Able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time
• Memorization, reading, writing, and math skills
• Ongoing customer interaction with prompt, courteous, and accurate service
• Good judgment, especially when direct supervision may not be immediately available
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions, write identifying information, and request supplies verbally or in writing
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

• Lifting/carrying up to 60 lbs
• Pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs
• Walking on uneven ground
• Reaching, bending, and repetitive motions
• Exposure to hot equipment and cooking oil
