Part Time Deli

Cub Savage is looking for a dedicated individual to join the deli team. This role involves preparing and finishing products such as meats, salads, and prepared foods to department standards, ensuring safe, reliable, and consistent offerings for customers. The position blends customer service with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation
• Provide customers with accurate, prompt, and courteous service
• Set, fill, and rotate deli cases and displays
• Assist in receiving product
• Break down department and perform cleaning duties
• Follow all store and department policies and procedures

Requirements

• Operate equipment including compactor, coffee pot, pallet jack, highboy cart, box cutter, tongs, scales, Cry-O-Vac machine, steamer, slicer, wrapper, knives, chicken fryer, chicken hot case, food processor, and pizza oven
• Able to walk long distances and stand for extended periods
• Strong memorization, reading, writing, and math skills
• Ongoing customer interaction with prompt, courteous, and accurate service
• Good judgment, especially when direct supervision may not be available
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions, write identifying information, and request supplies verbally or in writing
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be available to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

• Lifting and carrying up to 60 lbs
• Pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs
• Walking on uneven ground
• Reaching, bending, and repetitive motions
• Exposure to hot equipment and cooking oil

Schedule

Varied weekly shifts with required availability for evenings and weekends.

Pay

Compensation is based on a progressive union scale. Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, training, and requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements.
