Responsibilities
- Set up the kitchen for classroom activities.
- Ensure adequate supplies and resources are available.
- Provide assistance to students and faculty in the learning environment.
- Average 26 hours per week, with hours varying based on instructional needs.
- Assist in the set-up of the culinary lab to facilitate student learning.
- Order supplies to meet the needs of the program.
- Receive and reconcile P-Card purchases and work with the Business Office to document these purchases.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Culinary or Food Services from an accredited post-secondary institution or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
- Two (2) years of relevant experience within food services.
Qualifications
- Computer literate and practiced in various processes and applications, such as basic navigation, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and file management.
- Ability to demonstrate for and assist individuals and/or small groups.
- Strong organizational skills to record and track data.
- Strong verbal communication skills, including non-technical speaking skills, with the ability to communicate facts, explain procedures and answer questions from managers, staff, students and the general public.
- Demonstrated experience working with culturally diverse populations.
