Part Time Conference Center Event Facilitator - Equipment Crew
About the role
The John A. Spitzer Conference Center at Lorain County Community College (LCCC) is seeking dependable, hands-on team members for part-time Event Facilitator positions. Event Facilitators are responsible for the setup, operation, and breakdown of meetings and events. This role serves as the on-site operational support for events, responding to room, equipment, and technology needs while maintaining a professional and efficient environment.
Responsibilities
- Configure event spaces, arrange tables and chairs
- Set up and test audiovisual equipment
- Ensure rooms are fully prepared for client use
- Respond to room, equipment, and technology needs
- Maintain a professional and efficient environment
- Perform physical setup and lifting up to 50 lbs
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Able to follow directions and work well with others
- Attention to detail and outstanding customer service
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Comfort working with technology
- Flexible schedule Monday through Sunday, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends
- Reliable transportation
Qualifications
- Previous event facilitation experience (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (preferred)
Skills
Event Facilitators should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
