About the role
Provide event setup and manual labor support for non-baseball events at Citi Field, ensuring seamless execution of large-scale productions (e.g., concerts, field events, festivals), social functions (e.g., weddings, birthdays, holiday parties), and high-level corporate events (e.g., meetings, trade shows, team-building initiatives). This is a part-time seasonal position expected to end on or around 12/18/2026. The amount of hours offered per week will depend on the number of events scheduled and the needs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Execute the setup of pre-approved layouts in preparation for events, efficiently breakdown and restore spaces to their standard configurations post-event across various locations at Citi Field
- Handle the transportation of equipment, furnishings, deliveries, and supplies before and after events with attention to timeliness and care, utilizing tools such as hand trucks and carts to optimize efficiency
- Ensure the protection and preservation of all furniture during transport throughout the ballpark, mitigating potential damage and maintaining high standards of quality
- Maintain and organize storage areas in a clean, orderly, and professional manner to ensure accessibility and visual appeal
- Serve as an ambassador for Willets Point Entertainment by professionally engaging with vendors, event clients, and ballpark staff, demonstrating exemplary communication and customer service skills during all shifts
- Support event team members in delivering exceptional non-baseball event experiences through key tasks such as guest and vendor check-ins, wristband distribution, and providing directional assistance to ensure smooth operations
- Perform additional event-related duties as assigned, demonstrating adaptability, and a proactive approach to meeting the needs of every event
Requirements
- Able to work flexible hours, including early morning, nights, and weekends
- Must be able to regularly lift and move furniture (ex. tables, couches) weighing a minimum of 150 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and walk lengthy distances
- Professional demeanor, strong work ethic, and motivation to complete the job correctly
- Team-oriented and able to follow directions in a timely manner
Other Skills & Abilities
- Ability to interpret and execute predetermined layouts and read check lists for events
- Ability to balance responsibilities for multiple events simultaneously
Pay
$20.00/hr
