Role Overview
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides home care services in clients' residences, assisting with personal care, transfers, meal prep, housekeeping, and companionship.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care, including hygiene, mobility, and prescribed exercises.
- Assist with personal hygiene routines and light housekeeping tasks.
- Prepare meals considering dietary needs and preferences.
- Provide companionship and promote client independence.
- Maintain accurate records, report changes in client condition, and follow the care plan.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including EVV documentation, and uphold confidentiality and patient rights.
Qualifications & Skills
- Current certification with DFS.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Effective communication skills, including reading and writing.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and standing.
- Dependability, reliability, and a compassionate attitude toward patient care.
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver's license, personal vehicle for travel.
- TB skin test, criminal background and drug screening clearance.
- No substantial findings on North Carolina's Nurses Aide Registry.
- PPE is provided, and electronic charting is used.
- This role involves traveling within a specified area.
