CNA (Part Time 3pm-11pm)

About the role

The Caregiver at The Carnegie meets the community residents' needs by helping with activities of daily living. Responsibilities include monitoring residents' well-being, assisting with simple requests, supervising or assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, ambulation, and other activities of daily living. The role also involves providing companionship, responding to emergencies, using assistive devices, documenting care, and supporting resident-centered wellness programs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain residents' well-being and report any changes in condition promptly
• Assist residents with simple requests and find appropriate associates to assist
• Learn and document resident preferences for exemplary customer service
• Supervise or assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, ambulation, and other activities of daily living
• Encourage self-care and provide companionship
• Respond to emergencies according to policies and procedures
• Help residents with assistive devices and encourage self-care
• Document care provided consistently with standards
• Provide input to the Care Services Director and/or Resident Care Coordinator/Dementia Care Coordinator
• Review and update resident individual service plans
• Support resident-centered wellness programs
• Assist with resident laundry as assigned
• Maintain upkeep of residents' rooms and common areas
• Support open and honest communication with and between all associates
• Work as part of the team within your department and across the community
• Ensure regulatory compliance and report any issues to supervisor
• Support continuous improvement

Requirements

• High school education or GED equivalent preferred
• Nursing assistant course
• First Aid certification and CPR, if required
• Must meet state training requirements and/or certifications
• Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) preferred
• Basic competency in the use of multiple forms of technology, including: Microsoft Office applications, internet-based and custom applications
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed
