Part Time - Cashier

Role Overview: Responsible for operating cash registers and electronic scanners to process customer transactions, itemize purchases, and assist with bagging while delivering courteous service. Key Duties Operate cash register, handle various products including groceries, produce, and meats.Process payments via cash, checks, credit cards, food stamps, WIC, and loyalty programs accurately.Weigh and bag customer purchases, ensuring proper product handling.Utilize and maintain check-stand equipment efficiently.Manage front-end duties such as merchandising check-stand items.Report pricing or signage errors, understand store programs and product locations.Communicate store promotions, loyalty programs, and coupons effectively.Follow policies on security, cash handling, product safety, and cleanliness.Assist with stocking and maintain a clean, safe environment.Adhere to safety, PPE, and food safety guidelines; support customer experience efforts. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or GED preferred.Prior retail or related experience is a plus.Strong verbal communication, customer service, and organizational skills.Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally, stand and walk for extended periods, and work in varied temperatures and environments.
